Palo Alto, CA — ABB Testing, LLC announces the groundbreaking of a best-in-class fully indoor testing laboratory near Dallas, Texas. It’s the single largest investment the firm has made in its history and will help stimulate the local economy. The one-of-a-kind facility will offer a broad range of testing services, including performance mockup, construction materials, curtain wall, Fenestration certification, and investigative testing.

ABB Testing is very proud to announce the beginnings of a first-in-the-country, fully indoor, large scale mock-up laboratory that eliminates weather delays and any effect on product or system performance prior to testing,” said Karim Allana, PE, RRC, RWC, and CEO of ABB Testing (ABBT). “Our $10M investment will offer a 14,000 sq. ft. indoor mockup and testing lab and 9,500 sq. ft. of space for our clients, including conference rooms, secured storage, and offices. Plus, create over 30 local jobs.”

The fully enclosed and conditioned laboratory includes new, unique features and amenities like a wind generator, bridge crane and loading dock so crews can easily and safely assemble mockups for tests included in the AAMA 501 testing specification.  The facility will also house the FGIA Accredited Field-Testing team providing field water testing, electronic leak detection, and whole building air leakage testing.
